I am a lifelong San Diego Chargers fan. There was a little breakup when they moved back to Los Angeles,1 but we worked out our problems and I returned to the life of disappointment that I had grown so accustomed to in the past.
Now I have a place to talk about them (and any other sports-like substance I may consume). So let’s get to it, shall we?
The Chargers are in the playoffs!
When the Chargers fired Brandon Staley I was convinced they would never pay Harbaugh. They have a rich history of being, well, cheap. Anytime a pundit suggested Jim Harbaugh was going to end up on the Chargers sideline I figured said pundit was suffering from being oft concussed during his playing career. Then something remarkable in the history of my Chargers fandom happened: they paid the man.
And now, they’re in the fucking playoffs!
But first they had to cut a bunch of really expensive wide receivers leaving Justin Herbert nobody to throw to. So of course they drafted a stud wide receiver in the Harbaugh’s…
